All children are put down for a rest. All encouraged to sleep. Children between 2-5 years old go to bed at 12.30 and by 1.00 pm almost all are asleep. Children who do not sleep can rest and are given a quiet activity. Babies sleep according to routine. Please bring sheets and a blanket for sleeptime. You must not bring your child to the centre is he/she is not well. Infectious conditions such as Conjunctivitis, tummy upsets, bad colds and rashes should be treated by your doctor. Prescribed medication may be given by us if you complete and sign the medication book.
If your child is unwell at the centre, we will ring you and care for him/her until you are able to take him/her home.
If your child needs urgent medical treatment, we will try to contact you or the emergency contact, your own doctor or we will call an ambulance to attend.
We discourage children from bringing toys daily to avoid loss or damage but allow comforters or items for News Time in which the children will place in the blue box on the shelf on arrival.
At all routine times we try to have clear guidelines on how to handle children in developmentally appropriate ways. Eating, sleeping, dressing, toileting etc. are important aspects of a young child's day.
We have both qualified and unqualified staff responsible for the children's well being .They have differing backgrounds, experience, skills and knowledge to share with your child allowing them exposure to a range of languages, sport, art, music and dance.
The fees are to be in advance. They should be paid by cheque, cash or EFT (cheques payable to Beulah Matumbi Pty Ltd). We provide monthly envelopes for payment. Envelopes containing cash or cheque are to be placed in the purple fees box which is placed on the shelf in the main room.
We are open for 48 weeks a year. We close at Christmas for 4 weeks. The centre is open from 8.00am to 6.00pm. All children must be collected before this time. If you have an unexpected flexiday or spare afternoon, we certainly understand that you would like to have your child with you. Let us know (if you can) and we will have him/her ready early. Tell us also if someone new is to pick him/her up, even if it is Grandma. We must have permission to let children go home with other people. If it is someone we have not met, they will need to produce a photo ID.
Tell us please about changes in your normal home routine that may affect your child's behaviour. We can understand and help him/her better.
If you have any more further questions please ask. We will share the answers if we are able.
