School Readiness Program – 3-5 years
Our School Readiness program provides a comprehensive learning program for children aged 3-5 years to prepare them for School. We strive to help develop across all learning areas to equip them best for their learning journey ahead.
Literacy: Our play-based curriculum interweaves emerging reading and writing throughout daily routines. We also implement the PreLit program, an evidence-based early literacy preparation program developed by Macquarie University to teach pre-literacy skills to preschoolers.
S.T.E.M: Through our project learning, the preschoolers build their inquiry skills and their numerical awareness.
Self-Regulation and Independence: Children build the emotional awareness and confidence needed to express themselves through challenging situations, as well as having strong self-help skills needed in a school setting.
Heath and Wellbeing: Gross motor skills development through structured and play based outdoor experiences in our beautiful garden, alongside fine motor manipulation development and pen holding to support emerging writing.
Social Development: Building trust and resilience through relationships with their peers alongside regular excursions aimed at building each child’s awareness of their local community.
Music and the Arts: Dramatic play and fine arts experiences provide our preschoolers with a creative outlet to express themselves and a safe sphere in which to explore ideas that are meaningful to them.
